ABSTRACT Students who demonstrate precocity and giftedness indicators need to be educationally encouraged to develop the potential they possess under the risk of wasting it. Recognizing the importance of the identification process to stimulate the maximum development of each one, this study aimed to identify precocious students with giftedness indicators in the language and mathematics areas, enrolled in Elementary School. It was participated of 245 students from the 1st to 5th grade of a state public school in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Based on the articulation between subjective instruments (checklist for teacher nomination, self-nomination questionnaires and peer nomination) and objectives (school performance and intelligence), 12 students were identified and their parents and teachers were guided about the work with this student.

RESUMO Estudantes que demonstram precocidade e indicadores de altas habilidades/superdotação (AH/SD) precisam ser educacionalmente incentivados a desenvolver o potencial que possuem sob o risco de desperdiçá-lo. Reconhecendo a importância do processo de identificação para o estímulo ao desenvolvimento máximo de cada um, esse estudo teve por objetivo identificar estudantes precoces com indicadores de AH/SD nas áreas da linguagem e da matemática, matriculados no Ensino Fundamental I. Contou-se com a participação de 245 estudantes do 1º ao 5º de uma escola pública estadual do interior do estado do Mato Grosso do Sul. A partir da articulação entre instrumentos subjetivos (checklist para indicação de professores, questionários de autonomeação e nomeação por colegas) e objetivos (testes de desempenho escolar e inteligência), 12 estudantes foram identificados e seus pais e professores foram orientados sobre o trabalho junto a esse alunado.

Resumo A autoeficácia diz respeito às crenças do indivíduo em suas capacidades para realizar determinadas atividades e influencia seu nível de determinação e esforço. Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar se cursos de formação para práticas inclusivas que envolvem fontes de autoeficácia produzem efeitos na autoeficácia docente. Participaram 36 professores, parte deles realizou curso sobre inclusão de estudantes com deficiência intelectual, os demais realizaram curso sobre inclusão de estudantes com altas habilidades/superdotação. Os cursos primavam pela indissociabilidade entre teoria e prática e análise reflexiva conjunta acerca de vídeos com situações educacionais inclusivas bem-sucedidas de modo a envolver persuasão social e experiências vicárias. Os efeitos da formação foram avaliados a partir da Escala de Eficácia Docente para Práticas Inclusivas nas versões Deficiência Intelectual e Altas Habilidades/Superdotação. Os resultados revelaram que houve aumento na autoeficácia dos professores de modo a indicar as potencialidades das fontes de autoeficácia abordadas na formação docente.

Abstract Self-efficacy concerns the individual’s beliefs in their ability to perform certain activities and influences the level of determination and effort involved. This study aimed to investigate whether teacher education courses for inclusive practices, involving sources of self-efficacy, produce effects on teacher self-efficacy. Thirty-six teachers participated; part of them took part in the course on inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities and the others on inclusion of students with giftedness. The courses stood out for their indissolubility between theory and practice and joint reflexive analysis of videos with successful inclusive educational situations, in order to involve social persuasion and vicarious experiences. The effects of the teacher education were evaluated with the Teacher Efficacy for Inclusive Practices Scale, in the versions Intellectual Disability and Giftedness. The results revealed that there was an increase in teachers’ self-efficacy, in order to indicate the potential of the sources of self-efficacy addressed in teacher education.

Resumen La autoeficacia se refiere a las creencias del individuo en su capacidad para realizar ciertas actividades e influye en el nivel de determinación y esfuerzo involucrados. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar si los cursos de capacitación para prácticas inclusivas que involucren fuentes de autoeficacia producen efectos sobre la autoeficacia docente. Participaron 36 profesores; una parte realizó un curso sobre la inclusión de estudiantes con discapacidad intelectual y los demás, sobre la inclusión de estudiantes con superdotación. Los cursos se destacaron por su inseparabilidad entre la teoría y la práctica y el análisis reflexivo conjunto de videos con situaciones educativas inclusivas exitosas para involucrar la persuasión social y las experiencias vicarias. Los efectos de la formación se evaluaron con la Escala de Eficacia Docente para Prácticas Inclusivas, en las versiones Discapacidad Intelectual y Superdotación. Los resultados revelaron que hubo un aumento en la autoeficacia de los docentes, con el fin de indicar el potencial de las fuentes de autoeficacia abordadas en la formación docente.

RESUMO: Neste artigo, propôs-se a realizar uma busca em uma base de dados nacional (SciELO) e em duas internacionais (Scopus e Web of Science) a fim de investigar possíveis conexões entre os temas altas habilidades/superdotação (AH/SD), criatividade e bilinguismo, uma vez que o interesse pelos três unitermos vêm crescendo. Na verificação realizada em 2020, a partir de diferentes combinações desses unitermos, tanto em Língua Portuguesa como Inglesa, nenhum trabalho que relacionava os três tópicos foi encontrado, mas obtiveram-se dez artigos que abordavam a conexão entre dois deles. A conexão entre AH/SD e bilinguismo foi a temática mais recorrente, com seis estudos. A maior parte desses achados investigou a forma de avaliar e trabalhar com alunos com AH/SD bilíngues inseridos em diferentes realidades, havendo a crítica dos autores às avaliações e aos testes padronizados que não se preocupavam em englobar diferenças culturais e linguísticas nesses instrumentos. Os quatro outros artigos abordaram criatividade e bilinguismo, tendo como foco a comparação de diferentes medidas de criatividade entre crianças bilíngues e monolíngues. Por meio dos dados obtidos nos textos, houve ganho mais significativo em diferentes medidas de criatividade às crianças bilíngues. A partir da análise dos achados, verificou-se a pouca produção relacionando as temáticas apresentadas, mesmo limitando-se a busca à conexão de apenas dois dos unitermos citados. Assim, sugerem-se novos estudos em ambientes bilíngues com foco em estudantes público-alvo da Educação Especial, especificamente aqueles com AH/SD. Recomenda-se, também, o desenvolvimento da criatividade nesse contexto e a divulgação de mais pesquisas empíricas para que novos trabalhos possam ser replicados.

ABSTRACT: In this article, it was proposed to conduct a search in a national database (SciELO) and in two international ones (Scopus and Web of Science), in order to investigate possible connections between the themes giftedness, creativity and bilingualism, as interest in the three terms has been growing. In the verification carried out in 2020 with different combinations of these uniterms, written in Portuguese and English, no work related to the three topics was found, but ten articles addressing the connection between two of the topics were obtained. The connection between giftedness and bilingualism was the most recurrent theme, with six studies. Most of them investigated how to evaluate and work with gifted bilingual students inserted in different realities with the authors’ criticism of the standardized evaluations and tests that were not concerned with encompassing cultural and linguistic differences in these instruments. The four other articles addressed creativity and bilingualism and were focused on comparing different measures of creativity of bilingual and monolingual children. Through the data obtained in the texts, there was a more significant gain in different measures of creativity for bilingual children. From the analysis of the findings, there was little production related to the themes presented, even though the search was limited to the connection of only two of the aforementioned uniterms. Thus, new studies are suggested in bilingual environments with a focus on target students of Special Education, specifically those with giftedness. It is also recommended the development of creativity in this context and the dissemination of more empirical research so that new works can be replicated.

RESUMO: O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar as propriedades psicométricas da versão brasileira da Teacher Efficacy for Inclusive Practices (TEIP) Scale. A versão traduzida e adaptada à cultura brasileira denomina-se Escala de Eficácia Docente para Práticas Inclusivas (EEDPI) e foi aplicada a uma amostra de 308 professores de Educação Infantil e Ensino Fundamental I e II, no interior do estado de Mato Grosso do Sul. A Análise Fatorial Exploratória evidenciou que suas propriedades psicométricas são adequadas, bem como a existência de dois fatores, nomeados “Regência em sala de aula” e “Planejamento e colaboração”. A mesma amostra também respondeu à Escala de autoeficácia de professores: versão breve, considerada “padrão-ouro”, a fim de avaliarmos o grau de eficácia da EEDPI em medir o que se propõe, a partir da relação com um critério externo. A Análise de Correlação de Spearman revelou a existência de uma correlação positiva entre as subescalas dos instrumentos, oscilando entre moderada e forte. A EEDPI ainda apresenta boa consistência interna (coeficientes de Alfa de Cronbach 0,89, 0,88 e 0,92) e mostra-se um instrumento que pode auxiliar na avaliação e no acompanhamento da autoeficácia docente diante da inclusão e na proposição das intervenções oportunas.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of Teacher Efficacy for Inclusive Practices (TEIP) Scale. The version translated and adapted to Brazilian culture is called Escala de Eficácia Docente para Práticas Inclusivas (EEDPI) and was applied to a sample of 308 teachers of Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education I and II, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The Factorial Exploratory Analysis showed that its psychometric properties are adequate, as well as the existence of two factors, named “Classroom management” and “Planning and collaboration”. The same sample also responded to the Teacher self-efficacy Scale: short version, considered “gold standard”, in order to evaluate the efficacy of the EEDPI in measuring what it proposes, based on the relation with an external criterion. Spearman’s Correlation Analysis revealed the existence of a positive correlation between the subscales of the instruments, ranging from moderate to strong. The EEDPI still presents good internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha coefficients 0.89, 0.88 and 0.92) and it is an instrument that can aid in the evaluation and monitoring of teacher self-efficacy in view of the inclusion and proposition of the appropriate interventions.

RESUMO: Considerando-se a importância dos professores na identificação e estímulo dos estudantes com altas habilidades/superdotação (AH/SD), propomos investigar e comparar a estrutura e possibilidades da formação docente sobre esta temática no curso de Pedagogia da UNESP, Campus de Marília, no Brasil e o curso de Licenciatura em Educação Básica acrescido dos Mestrados em Ensino da UMinho, Campus de Gualtar, em Portugal. Os objetivos específicos são: investigar o conhecimento dos estudantes sobre AH/SD; analisar a relação de projetos de pesquisa e extensão com a formação de professores; verificar o acervo de produções sobre AH/SD dos campi. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas e consulta às bases de documentação. A produção e aquisição de materiais bibliográficos, a maneira como o assunto é abordado nas disciplinas e a possibilidade de participar de projetos de pesquisa e extensão tem relação direta com o envolvimento científico dos docentes dos cursos com as AH/SD.

ABSTRACT: Considering the teachers importance in the identification and encouragement of students with high abilities/giftedness, we propose to investigate and compare the structure and possibilities of teacher education on the topic in the Pedagogy course of UNESP, Marília Campus, in Brazil and in the Education Basic bachelor course and Masters in Teaching at UMinho, Gualtar Campus, in Portugal. The specific objectives are: to investigate students' knowledge about high abilities/giftedness; to analyze the relationship of research and extension projects with teacher education; to verify the productions collection on high abilities/giftedness in the campuses. The data were collected through interviews and consultation of the documentation bases. The production and acquisition of bibliographic materials, the way the topic is approached in the disciplines and the possibility of participating in research and extension projects are directly related to the scientific involvement of the teachers of the courses with the high abilities/giftedness.

RESÚMEN: Teniendo en cuenta la importancia de los docentes para identificar y estimular a los estudiantes superdotados, proponemos investigar y comparar la estructura y las posibilidades de formación de docentes sobre este tema en el curso de Pedagogía en la UNESP, Campus de Marília, en Brasil, y el Grado en Educación Básica más el Máster en Enseñanza de UMinho, Campus de Gualtar, en Portugal. Los objetivos específicos son: investigar el conocimiento de los estudiantes sobre la superdotación; analizar la relación entre proyectos de investigación y extensión con la formación docente; verifique la colección de producciones sobre la superdotación de los campus. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de entrevistas y consultas con las bases de documentación. La producción y adquisición de materiales bibliográficos, la forma en que se aborda el tema en las disciplinas y la posibilidad de participar en proyectos de investigación y extensión están directamente relacionado con la participación científica de los profesores de los cursos con la superdotación.

RESUMO: Alunos com altas habilidades/superdotação (AH/SD) fazem parte do público-alvo da Educação Especial. Assim, suas particularidades requerem medidas educacionais apropriadas ao desenvolvimento máximo de suas potencialidades, envolvendo planejamento e implementação de estratégias pedagógicas condizentes com as necessidades dos estudantes, o que perpassa pela necessidade de formação de professores. Nessa perspectiva, julga-se imprescindível que o educador possua conhecimentos sobre a temática das AH/SD para que possa desenvolver práticas que favoreçam o crescimento dos potenciais e das habilidades dos alunos. Desse modo, este artigo teve por objetivo analisar os currículos da formação de professores que atuarão junto a crianças dos três aos 10 anos de idade, em duas universidades públicas, uma brasileira (Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho"; UNESP, Campus de Marília) e outra portuguesa (Universidade do Minho; UMinho, Campus de Gualtar). O intuito é verificar se as AH/SD constituem, ou não, um conteúdo disciplinar presente na formação inicial oferecida. A partir da análise dos planos de ensino das disciplinas, encontraram-se indícios de que tal temática é abordada no curso de Pedagogia da UNESP e nos Mestrados em Ensino da UMinho. Pretende-se, dessa maneira, dar continuidade a essa investigação a fim de confirmar esses resultados a partir de entrevistas com os docentes e estudantes dessas universidades.

ABSTRACT: Students with high abilities/giftedness are part of the target public of Special Education. Thus, their particularities require educational measures appropriate to the maximum development of their potential, involving planning and implementation of pedagogical strategies consistent with the needs of students, pointing to the need for teacher education. From this perspective, it is considered essential that the educator has knowledge about the subject with high abilities/giftedness so that he/she can develop practices that favor the growth of students’ potentials and abilities. Thus, this paper aimed to analyze the curricula of teacher education that will work with children from three to 10 years of age in two public universities, one Brazilian (Universidade Estadual Paulista ‘Júlio de Mesquita Filho’, UNESP, Marília Campus) and another, Portuguese (Universidade do Minho, UMinho, Gualtar Campus). The purpose is to verify whether or not high abilities/giftedness constitute a disciplinary content in the initial education offered. From the analysis of the teaching plans of the disciplines, there were indications that this theme is addressed in the course of Pedagogy of UNESP and in the Masters’ in Teaching of UMinho. In view of this, the intention is to continue this investigation in order to confirm these results through interviews with the professors and students of these universities.

RESUMO diante da popularização das Tecnologias Digitais da Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) e da facilidade de acesso à internet que temos atualmente, não podemos ignorar que os estudantes de hoje estão imersos em uma cultural digital, apresentam características e comportamentos diferenciados, são influenciados pelo enorme fluxo de informações disponíveis na internet e pela interatividade imediata proporcionada pelos recursos digitais. Considerando as habilidades destes estudantes em buscar, selecionar e compartilhar informações, é possível refletir e investigar a maneira como os estudantes precoces e/ou com comportamento superdotado relacionam-se com a tecnologia. Consideramos as TDIC como importantes ferramentas intelectuais para enriquecimento de estudantes superdotados, no entanto, é necessário identificar as habilidades que são específicas destes estudantes e aquelas que são comuns a todos os nativos digitais, para que possamos orientá-los e ajudá-los a desenvolver competências digitais. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste estudo é verificar a qualidade das ações de estudantes nativos digitais sem e com precocidade e/ou comportamento superdotado em relação às TDIC. Quanto ao método, trata-se de um estudo comparativo que descreve o uso que os estudantes precoces e/ou com comportamento superdotado (G1) e estudantes sem esta especificidade (G2), dos anos iniciais e finais do ensino fundamental, fazem das TDIC. Observamos que embora as habilidades e competências digitais dos estudantes, de ambos os grupos, sejam semelhantes, os estudantes do G1 demonstravam mais qualidade nas ações. Constatamos que G1 apresentou mais ações conscientes, tendo ocorrido maior diferença entre os estudantes dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, atribuída às características do fenômeno da precocidade.

ABSTRACT In the face of the popularization of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) and the ease of access to the Internet we have today, we cannot ignore that today’s students are immersed in a digital culture, have characteristics and different behaviors, are influenced by the huge flow of information available on the Internet and the immediate interactivity of digital resources. Considering the skills of these students on seeking, selecting and sharing information, it is possible to think and investigate how the early and/or gifted students relate to technology. We consider the TDIC as important intellectual tools for the enrichment of gifted students, however, it is necessary to identify the skills that are specific to these students and those that are common to all digital natives to guide and help them develop their digital competencies. Thus, the aim of this study is to verify the quality of the actions of digital native students with and without early and/or gifted behavior regarding the TDIC. As for the method, this is a comparative study that describes the use of the early and/or gifted students in their behavior (G1) and students without this specificity (G2), from the initial and final years of elementary school, make of the TDIC. We noted that although the skills and digital competences of students in both groups are similar, students of G1 showed more quality in their actions. We noted that G1 were more aware of the actions, resulting in a bigger difference between the students in the early years of elementary school, attributed to the characteristics of phenomenon of precocity.

RESUMO a precocidade é um fenômeno ainda pouco estudado nacionalmente. Desse modo, considera-se relevante o empreendimento de investigações acerca de estudantes que demonstram habilidades precocemente desenvolvidas a fim de contribuir para o crescimento do conhecimento científico sobre a temática. Frente a essa problemática, o objetivo deste estudo foi verificar se um aluno precoce apresentava características de altas habilidades/superdotação de acordo com literatura, em especial as que se relacionam à criatividade e à aprendizagem. Os dados foram coletados por meio de observações desse aluno em relação à leitura e escrita em situações escolares. Também foram realizadas entrevistas com seus pais. As observações foram registradas em diários de campo, ao passo que a entrevista foi gravada e integralmente transcrita. A análise ocorreu qualitativamente. Os resultados demonstraram a presença de características de altas habilidades/superdotação no comportamento do aluno e apontaram para a necessidade de atenção educacional que considere e respeite suas peculiaridades e estimule o desenvolvimento de suas potencialidades, porém, sem perder de vista suas necessidades próprias da infância.

ABSTRACT Precocity is a phenomenon still little studied nationally. Thus, investigations about students who demonstrate prematurely developed skills are considered relevant in order to contribute to the growth of scientific knowledge on the subject. In this context, the objective this study was to verify whether one precocious student presented high abilities/giftedness features according to the literature, in particular those related to creativity and learning. Data were collected through observations of this student in reading and writing school situations. Interviews were conducted with his parents. Observations were recorded in field diaries, while the interviews were recorded and transcribed in full. The analysis was qualitative. The results showed the presence of high ability/giftedness characteristics in student's behavior and pointed to the need for educational care to consider and respect his peculiarities and encourage the development of his potential, but without losing sight of his needs characteristically of childhood.

o computador está presente no cotidiano escolar e sua utilização, por meio de softwares educativos, deve ser mediado e planejado para que esse recurso contribua para a aprendizagem dos alunos, inclusive aqueles com deficiência intelectual (DI). Sendo assim, tivemos por objetivo propor atividades específicas de informática para alunos com DI, por meio de softwares educativos, além de quantificar e analisar as estratégias técnicas e pedagógicas utilizadas. Participaram da pesquisa seis alunos categorizados como DI, matriculados em duas escolas públicas. Para coletar informações utilizamos protocolos de observação e diário de campo. Os dados foram analisados de maneira quantitativa e qualitativa, sendo estes baseados nos conceitos de mediação e zona de desenvolvimento proximal da teoria histórico-cultural. Os resultados indicaram que se os conteúdos trabalhados nas aulas de informática convergirem com as atividades propostas em sala de aula, os alunos com DI têm oportunidades de experienciar atividades diferenciadas que lhes possibilitem o sucesso. Observamos que foram as estratégias de ensino que possibilitaram aos alunos participantes compreender e realizar corretamente as atividades propostas. Dessa maneira, consideramos que os conhecimentos técnicos a respeito dos softwares educativos e os conhecimentos pedagógicos sobre o conteúdo que está sendo trabalhado, não são suficientes para que a atividade proposta contribua para o desenvolvimento de alunos com DI.

The computer is present in everyday school life and using it with educational software must be mediated and planned in order for this resource to contribute to student learning, including those with intellectual disabilities (ID). Therefore, the aim was to propose specific computer activities for students with ID using educational software, and to quantify and analyze the technical and pedagogical strategies used. The participants were six students with ID enrolled in two public schools. To collect information we used observation protocols and a field journal. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, based on the concepts of mediation and the zone of proximal development of cultural-historical theory. The results indicated that when the content developed in the computer classes were compatible with the proposed activities in the classroom, students with ID had opportunities to experience different activities that enable them to be successful. We noted that what enabled them to understand and correctly perform the proposed activities were the teaching strategies. Thus, we consider that technical knowledge about educational software and pedagogical knowledge about content that is being worked on, are insufficient to ensure that the proposed activity will contribute to the development of students with ID.

Pessoas com deficiência, ao se tornarem idosas, muitas vezes apresentam problemas mais complexos, devido às dificuldades de inserção social ativa. Este estudo se propõe a caracterizar as condições sociodemográficas e de saúde de pessoas com deficiência com idade acima de 50 anos, e de seus respectivos cuidadores. Trata-se de estudo descritivo realizado por meio de entrevistas com 43 idosos com deficiência e 39 cuidadores. Constatou-se que as pessoas com deficiência vivem com algum familiar, 51,2% não frequentaram o ensino formal, 69,8% sobrevivem da aposentadoria, 46,5% utilizam três medicamentos ou mais e 69,8% não realizam exame preventivo de câncer de mama/útero ou próstata. Dos cuidadores, 79,5% são do gênero feminino, 84,7% têm pouca ou nenhuma escolaridade, sendo irmão(a) ou sobrinho(a), são cuidadores há dez anos ou mais, não recebem ajuda de outros parentes e não têm atividade regular de lazer. Entre eles, 18% relatam três ou mais problemas de saúde e 44% fazem uso de três ou mais medicamentos. As pessoas acima dos 50 anos, com deficiência, apresentam algumas características semelhantes a outros idosos dependentes, mas sua condição de dependência é de longa duração, o que demanda ações de saúde diferenciadas tanto para esse idoso como para o cuidador.

As disabled people become older, they often have more complex problems, due to the difficulties of social active insertion. This study aims to characterize the socio-demographic and health conditions of people with disabilities aged 50 years and over, and their caregivers. This is a descriptive study conducted through interviews with 43 disabled elderly and 39 caregivers. It was found that people with disabilities live with a relative, 51.2% did not attend formal education, 69.8% survive of retirement, 46.5% used three or more drugs and 69.8% did not do Pap smear / breast or prostate preventive screening. Among caregivers, 79.5% were female, 84.7% have little or no schooling, were sibling or nephew, have been caregivers for ten years or more, do not get help from other relatives and do not have regular leisure activity. Among them, 18% reported three or more health problems and 44% use three or more drugs. Disabled people over 50 exhibit some characteristics similar to other elderly dependents, but their condition of dependency is long lasting, which requires special health actions both for elderly and caregivers.
